StudentBookWorld is a British online bookseller where you will find 250,000 stock books all at discount prices. We have made the ordering process as straightforward as we can – simply find your title, add it to the shopping basket. When you have chosen all the titles you need go to checkout and fill in the simple delivery and credit card details and you are finished! More detailed information is shown below.

Finding Your Title
Hints and tips – enter as many complete words in the title and press enter or click on the blue GO! button.

Use the ISBN of the book if you know it!- this is the fastest and most reliable way of finding the book you want. If you have access to a copy of the book the ISBN is often above the bar code on the back of the book and always has the letters ISBN in front of it ( to avoid confusing it with the barcode!)

When you have a page of titles you can click the Info button to display more information about the title. Up to 20 titles are displayed on the search results page – you can scroll through more titles by clicking on the Next button at the bottom of the list.

Placing an Order
Ordering at StudentBookWorld is fast and secure. You can learn more about our security guarantee by clicking here. To place your first order, follow the 5 simple steps listed below. When you make your first purchase, your StudentBookWorld account is automatically created.

1. When you've found what you want, click on the Add To Basket button to hold the book until you are ready to buy it. (You can remove it later if you want to.)

2. When you have finished shopping click the Basket at the top-right corner of your screen to view what is in your shopping basket.

3. Next, hit checkout.

4. Fill out the online order form and Click the submit button

5. Enter your payment information for secure processing and you've finished! You will receive a payment and order confirmation by email. If you choose to pay by cheque the order will be processed when the cheque is processed by

Pay by Cheque, fax or telephone

You can also pay by cheque, fax or telephone but you must still place your order online first to take advantage of our low prices.

DESTINATION – The charge for one book is
UK – £2.95
USA – £7.50
REST OF WORLD – £10.00

We aim to dispatch orders within 24 hrs from the core stock titles and delivery should be received within 3 days. If the title is out of stock always check the marked availability listed with each title. Orders will generally take 2 weeks  but remember publishers sometimes run out of stock or the book may be out of print in which case we will notify you by email

UK Delivery charges – Single book order £2.95 No extra charge for 2 or more books.

So remember you can order as many books as you like and you will not be charged more than £2.95 per UK delivery.

If your order includes books which are out of stock you can choose between:
(UK Standard Delivery) Make one delivery when complete

    * This option saves delivery charges as you will just be charged the £2.95 delivery charge ( our maximum for a single delivery) For example, if one book is in stock and the second is "Available in 2 weeks" – you will receive the total order when the second book comes into stock.

(UK Special delivery) Dispatch stocked Items now and send the remainder as a second delivery

    * Choosing this option on the order form means we will send you one delivery now of items in stock and the balance when they are available as a second delivery. You will be charged for two deliveries if you choose this option (£5.90)

If we cannot deliver within the agreed times we will notify you by email to agree an updated delivery time. If this is unsuitable, you will be entitled to cancel the order.


We can now offer UK Mainland customers the option of specifying an early evening courier delivery between 5pm and 9pm.


StudentBookWorld can ship outside the UK at the rates above. Remember if books are not in stock to add up to 6 weeks for publishers to supply the books to us. Please check the marked availability next to each title. Special order books can take up to 6 weeks to obtain. If publishers run out of stock or the book becomes out of print we will advise you by email.

If we cannot deliver within the agreed times we will notify you by email to agree an updated delivery time. If this is unsuitable, you will be entitled to cancel the order.

Our aim is to supply you with all your book needs at competitive prices and with efficient service. You will find every book we stock is discounted from the retail price.

We do our utmost to keep the stock file and prices accurate but in line with other retailers we cannot guarantee prices across the full 1.2 million titles we list especially where a book is not in stock and will  have to be ordered specially from the publisher.

Publishers can and do change prices regularly. Where a price does turn out to be inaccurate we undertake to contact you by email and take further instructions about the order.

Returns Policy
At StudentBookWorld, we hope you will always be happy with your purchases from us. However we know that occasionally you may wish to return items to us and our returns policy allows you to do this within 14 days as explained below.

Our returns guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition, within 14 days of delivery to you, and we will issue a refund for the price you paid for the item. We are unable to provide a refund if the book is not in a resaleable condition or if the seal on any software, cassette, CD or video has been opened.

Defective items: Products which are faulty or defective should be returnedwithin 14 days of delivery to you and a replacement product will be offered. If this not practical or acceptable then you will be given a refund in accordance with your statutory rights as a consumer.

Delivery charges:
If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because it is defective, we will be happy to refund your costs in returning it to us. You can claim your original delivery charge back if you are cancelling your order within 7 days under the terms of the Distance selling directive. Otherwise you will be responsible for those charges and the original delivery charge incurred.
